The essentials coming with me from airport mornings to sunset by the sea.
The contents of a beach bag can tell you a lot about a person. Mine tends to look remarkably similar every summer, filled with a small collection of essentials that have earned a permanent place from take-off to touchdown and every beach day in between.
First in my bag is a pouch, because nothing is worse than digging through a tote looking for lip balm, headphones, or your boarding pass at 6am in the airport. Having everything in one place makes travelling feel instantly more put together.
A wellness journal is another non-negotiable. Flights are one of the few times we're forced to slow down, making them the perfect opportunity to clear your mind, plan your week, or simply write down a few thoughts before arriving somewhere new.
Once I get to the beach, a hair clip quickly becomes the hardest-working item in my bag. Whether it's keeping my hair back during a long lunch, securing a slick-back bun after a swim, or surviving a windy boat day, it somehow ends up being used constantly.
A good hair brush is equally essential. After a day spent in the sun, salt water, and sea breeze, it's the easiest way to feel refreshed before heading straight to dinner or sunset drinks.
Every summer brings a different destination, but the contents of my beach bag rarely change. After enough airport runs, beach days, and last-minute weekend escapes, these are the essentials I've found myself reaching for again and again.
